Tommy Lynch
21/1/60 - 14/8/00
I'm what I am I'll always be
I'll drink till I die or drink to the death.
Many's a time I've sat by the hearth
Drinking good poteen or so it's been said.
An outcast I've been and I'll always be
My tribe has no time for the likes of me.
So I'll live for a while the way I want to be
And on my gravestone they will say he lived as he wanted to be.

I'm no saint or a scholar
Most people think that I'm a brawler.
My girl she loves me unconditionally
But I'm trying to live my life amicably.
Love is a thing you take for granted
To me it's a thing that is sorely wanted.
She came in and told me so what I said
Is that you can go.
The end of the day
Who loves who?
Someday someone might say
I love you
